The Adventure Service provides Short Breaks for adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs. These take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District National Park.
Each weekend long Break runs from Friday evening until Sunday evening and we provide transport from our centres on Friday between 4:15PM and 4:30 PM.
Accommodation is dormitory style and everyone who attends is supported to help with tasks such as food preparation and cleaning up!
Each Short Break has an outdoor theme such as paddleboarding, caving, climbing, and many more! Adventurers who attend our Day Service plan the menu, resources and the activities in the weeks leading up to the visit.
Staffing is based on a ratio of 1:4

All activities encourage team work, improve dexterity, balance and coordination skillsas well as setting apersonal challengefor all of our Adventurers.
What does it cost?
Each place costs£510 for the weekend with an additional charge of£390for 1 to 1 support.

Terms and Conditions
It is your responsibility to establish whether funding will be available for you. Your social work teams will be able to advise.
All cancellations must be received at least 3 weeks in advance or you will still be charged.
Short break weekends are invoiced a month ahead and need to be paid before going away.
